Australians for Better Government — CPAC Ticket Member Competition
Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter. The promoter is Australians for Better Government Inc, email info@australiansforbetter.com

2. Promotion. This promotion has two separate prize categories:
   (a) New Member Prize; and
   (b) Recruiter Prize.

3. Promotion period. The promotion opens at 12:01am AEST on September 22, 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Saturday 3 October 2026. Entries received after closing will not be accepted.

4. Eligibility. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees, officers, committee members and contractors of the Promoter, and their immediate families, are not eligible. The Promoter’s decision on eligibility is final.

5. New Member Prize — how to enter. To enter the New Member Prize, a person who is not a current ABG member at the start of the Promotion Period must complete a new ABG membership during the Promotion Period at australiansforbetter.com and pay any applicable membership fee. Each eligible new membership is one entry.

6. Recruiter Prize — how to enter. To enter the Recruiter Prize, a current financial ABG member must be named as the referrer by an eligible new member who joins during the Promotion Period. The new member must provide the referrer’s full name and email address in the membership form or by email to info@australiansforbetter.com at the time of joining. Self-referrals do not count. A person cannot be both a New Member Prize winner and the referrer of that same membership.

7. Membership fee. There is no extra fee to enter. If ABG membership is paid, it is at the Promoter’s ordinary published price.

8. Prizes.
   (a) New Member Prize: 2 winners. Each winner receives 1 standard CPAC National Conference 2026 ticket.
   (b) Recruiter Prize: 2 winners. Each winner receives 1 standard CPAC National Conference 2026 ticket.
   Approximate recommended retail value: $99 per ticket. Total prize pool: approximately $396.
   Tickets are for speaker-day access on 10–11 October 2026 at the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane, or any substitute venue nominated by CPAC. Flights, accommodation, transfers, meals, the Freedom & Hope Gala Dinner, the After Party, insurance and all other costs are not included. Tickets are subject to CPAC’s ticket terms. Prizes are not transferable, not exchangeable, and cannot be taken as cash, except as required by law or if the event does not proceed.

9. New Member Prize — winner determination. After the Promotion Period, the Promoter will randomly draw 2 winners from all eligible new-member entries. The draw will be held at 12:01am AEDT on Sunday, October 4 in Cromer, NSW. The first 2 valid entries drawn win. The Promoter may draw reserves in case a winner cannot take the prize.

10. Recruiter Prize — winner determination. After the Promotion Period, the Promoter will rank current members by the number of eligible new memberships that validly named them as referrer during the Promotion Period. The 2 members with the highest verified totals each win 1 ticket. If two or more members are tied, the tie is broken by the earliest timestamp of the last qualifying referral that created the tie. There is no random draw for this category.

11. Verification. The Promoter may require proof of identity, age, residency, membership and referral. A membership is only counted if the fee has been received and the membership has not been cancelled or refunded before winners are confirmed.

12. Notification and claim. Winners will be notified by email and/or phone within 2 business days of determination. Winners must claim and provide any details needed to issue the ticket within 48 hours of notification, because the event starts on 10 October 2026. If a prize is unclaimed or a winner is ineligible, the Promoter may award it to the next reserve (New Member Prize) or the next-ranked recruiter (Recruiter Prize).

13. Publication. The Promoter may publish winners’ first name and state on ABG’s website and social media.

14. Disqualification. The Promoter may disqualify entries that are incomplete, late, automated, duplicated, misleading, or obtained by harassment or payment of another person’s membership without that person’s knowledge. Creating multiple memberships to game either category is prohibited.

15. Event changes. If CPAC is postponed, relocated or cancelled, the Promoter’s obligation is limited to transferring any ticket benefit it actually receives. The Promoter is not liable for CPAC’s programme, speakers, or venue arrangements.

16. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for late, lost or misdirected entries, or for any loss arising from accepting or using a prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

17. Privacy. The Promoter collects name, email, phone, state and referral details to run the promotion, verify entries and award prizes. Information is handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy https://www.australiansforbetter.com/privacy-policy.

18. Social media. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, X, Instagram, Facebook or CPAC Australia.

19. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales. Residents of other states and territories also have the benefit of any local trade-promotion laws that apply to them.

20. Permit. No trade-promotion permit number is displayed because the total prize pool is below the permit thresholds that currently apply to games of chance in NSW, ACT, SA and the NT. If that changes, the Promoter will add the relevant permit number before advertising in that jurisdiction.

21. Proof of travel and attendance. Each winner must, within 48 hours of being notified, confirm in writing that they will attend CPAC National Conference 2026 in Brisbane on 10 and 11 October 2026 and provide reasonable proof of travel to Brisbane for those dates. Proof may include a flight, train or coach booking, a fuel or accommodation booking, or other evidence reasonably acceptable to the Promoter. If a winner cannot or will not attend, does not provide proof by the deadline, or cannot take the prize for any other reason, that prize will be forfeited and dealt with under the unclaimed and unallocated prize clause. The Promoter is not responsible for arranging, paying for, or reimbursing any travel, accommodation or other costs.

22. Unclaimed and unallocated prizes. If there are not enough eligible entries in a category to award all advertised prizes in that category, or a winner does not claim, is ineligible, cannot provide proof of travel, or cannot attend on 10–11 October 2026, the Promoter may award the remaining ticket or tickets as follows:
    (a) New Member Prize — to the next valid reserve drawn;
    (b) Recruiter Prize — to the next-ranked eligible recruiter;
    (c) if there is still no eligible winner for a ticket, the Promoter reserves the right to allocate that remaining ticket to an ABG Member of its choosing. The Promoter is not required to award a prize where there is no eligible entry in that category.
