Australia has so much potential. We are blessed with everything we could ever hope for.
Unfortunately, we have failed to approach our potential as the result of bad Government and an inadequate system.
Despite being blessed with an abundance of natural resources, our electricity prices are more expensive than ever. Furthermore, we are one of the highest taxed Countries in the World, despite the money that is made (or should be made) from our exports.
We have an abundance of land and space, yet we find ourselves in a housing crisis.
We are a Country built on a fair go, treating each other equally and helping your mate when times are tough. We are a cohesive society that has built a first-world nation in two and a half centuries. Despite this, our children are taught that they should be ashamed of our history, our flag and our heritage.
Australians for Better Government will be hosting an event on the Gold Coast in two weeks, with the headline ‘Endless Horizons: Shaping the Future of Australia’s Government’. As the name suggests, the focus will be on the incredible potential that Australia has.
If we can optimise the performance of our Government, through the proposals of ABG, there are endless horizons of opportunity in front of us.
